"I’m a woman in science and you’ll never believe what happened to me…”

To coincide with International Women’s Day, we’re holding an event to celebrate the women in the Faculty of Science.

Bring your own lunch and meet other women in the faculty. There will be opportunities for networking, and a panel discussion featuring a superstar line-up of women from across the Faculty of Science, including Royal Society of New Zealand Fellows Professors Hinke Osinga and Donna Rose Addis, and Dr Erin Leitao, the 2016 L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science New Zealand Fellow.

Ice cream and cookies will be served after the discussion, and we’ll be selling raffle tickets with proceeds going to the Association for Women in the Sciences (AWIS) undergraduate scholarship.

This event is open to women in the Faculty of Science at all levels. We take an inclusive approach to gender, based on self-identification.

Thanks to our sponsors L’Oréal New Zealand, Moustache Milk & Cookie Bar and Te Pūnaha Matatini.
