This International Women’s Day, in the spirit of those suffragettes who fought and won universal suffrage for the women of New Zealand 125 years ago, the Faculty of Science is calling ‘time’s up’ on sexism, sexual harassment, and sexual misconduct in science and academia.

Join the Women in Science Network in the 303/302 Atrium (outside the Student Resource Centre) for a brown bag lunch. Bring a gold coin donation for the cake stall – funds going to SPINZ (to fund sanitary products for school girls) – and wear red (colour of International Women’s Day) or white, green or purple (colours of the suffrage movement).

This event is open to all staff, post-docs, PhD and undergraduate students in the Faculty of Science, of any gender. We take an inclusive approach to gender, based on self-identification.
