Congratulations to Professor Cather Simpson and her team at the Photon Factory.

Engender Technologies, the start-up technology company founded by Associate Professor Cather Simpson from the Department of Physics and School of Chemical Sciences, has been named in this year's TIN100 technology awards.

Engender, which uses a highly innovative microfluidic and photonic method to sort sperm by sex for dairy herds, was named in a new category, "Most Promising Early Stage Companies", created to recognise the achievements of select start-up companies,. TIN100 facilitates growth in the New Zealand technology sector. It provides an annual analysis of New Zealand's globally-focused companies in hi-tech manufacturing, biotechnology and ICT sectors.
