Since graduating from the Faculty of Science in 2006 Abigail has been working at Auckland Council as an ecologist. She provides specialist ecological expertise to assist in the protection and restoration of indigenous ecosystems and biodiversity.

Brighid works as a cardiac rehabilitation practitioner in the cardiac rehabilitation clinic, run through the University of Auckland Clinics. The role involves helping individuals who have had a heart attack to exercise in a safe environment in order to improve their health and fitness, and to reduce the risk of further cardiac events.
