Biography

After graduating from Auckland with a PhD Thomas spent two years at the medical school as a research fellow. He then took up a half-time lectureship in Statistics at the Albany Campus of Massey University, before becoming a lecturer at The University of Auckland.

Research | Current

Thomas' research interests are nonparametric regression and generalized linear models, with particular application to medical studies and ecology. Statistical computing is also a strong interest.

In 2020 I will be teaching STATS 330 and STATS 782, both in Semester 1.

I am a PhD Officer, as well as Scholarships Officer and Officer for Health, Safety and Wellbeing.
