Cardiac Rehabilitation is designed to provide academic training and clinical experience for people interested in applying exercise as a therapeutic modality in cardiac rehabilitation. In addition to course work, students will have the opportunity to participate in the clinical cardiac rehabilitation clinic on the Tāmaki Innovation Campus.
Postgraduate Diploma in Science (PGDipSci) - Cardiac Rehabilitation specialisation
Prerequisite: A major in Sport and Exercise Science or equivalent qualification as approved by the Head of Department
Requirement:
- 75 points: SPORTSCI 692, 703, 705, MEDICINE 713
- 45 points from approved 700 level courses in the Faculty of Science or the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences
Master of Science (MSc) - Cardiac Rehabilitation specialisation
Prerequisite: A PGDipSci in Cardiac Rehabilitation or equivalent
Requirement: Research Masters
- 120 points: SPORTSCI 798 MSc Thesis in Cardiac Rehabilitation

- Cardiac rehabilitation adviser
- Community health adviser
- Rehabilitation case manager
