- Some subjects provide the opportunity to undertake small research projects.
- Students may be eligible to proceed to a Masters degree after successful completion of the Diploma.
The Postgraduate Diploma in Science (PGDipSci) provides the opportunity to acquire a postgraduate qualification in a specific subject or specialisation without undertaking a research-based degree. It is typically undertaken after the completion of a BSc in which you have achieved a satisfactory level of competency in the subject area of the intended diploma.

Depending on the subject major or specialisation being taken, a PGDipSci degree may involve:
- 120 points in one of the subjects listed in the Postgraduate Diploma in Science schedule
- A project or dissertation of up to 45 points
Entry into the Postgraduate Diploma in Science requires the completion of the requirements for for the degree of Bachelor of Science.
