Research in our schools and departments
Our research covers topics ranging from diabetes, medicinal chemistry and molecular drug discovery to quantum optics, astrophysics, neuropsychology, software innovation and ecology.
Many of our researchers work from pure science to create an applied technology or product with commercial value. We benefit from significant collaborations with the adjacent faculties of Medical & Health Sciences and Engineering as well as with international institutions. We also have extensive links with the Crown Research Institutes of New Zealand.
