The University of Auckland Doctoral Scholarships
Value: up to $25,000 per annum plus compulsory fees
Level: Doctoral
Closing date: 1 November
To encourage and support academically excellent students to undertake doctoral study. Available to domestic and domestic-fee paying international students.

Energy Education Trust of New Zealand Doctoral Scholarships
Value: $8,000 per annum
Level: Doctoral
Tenure: up to 3 years

To promote research and academic excellence in the energy sector which will benefit community and business interests by supporting research at The University of Auckland.

Sarah Beanland Memorial Scholarship

Amelia Earhart Fellowship

The Zonta International Amelia Earhart Fellowships were established in 1938 in honor of Amelia Earhart, famed pilot and Zonta club member. The Fellowships are granted annually to women pursuing PhD/doctoral degrees in aerospace-related sciences and aerospace-related engineering.

Orion Awards for Excellence in Computer Science
Value: $2,500

For a student who is in his or her final year of a GradDipSci (Computer Science), PGDipSci (Computer Science), BSc (Hons), BTech (IT), or MSc Degree in Computer Science at The University of Auckland and who demonstrates the greatest potential to become an outstanding professional in the area of Information Technology and Computer Science.

Ministry of Fisheries Postgraduate Scholarships in Quantitative Fisheries Science
Value: up to $25,000 per annum for up to two years (Masters), up to $30,000 per annum for up to three years (Doctoral)

Michael J Fox Foundation Rapid Response Innovation Award
Value: up to $75,000
Level: Postgraduate
Closing date: No pre-proposal stage. Ongoing online submission of proposals. Funding decisions advised within six weeks of submission date.
Rapid Response Innovation Awards are designed to support projects with little to no existing preliminary data, but that have the potential to significantly impact our understanding or treatment of Parkinson’s disease.
