Master of Science (MSc)

• Students gaining First or Second Class First Division Honours may be eligible to enrol in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Clinical Psychology.

An MSc allows you to undertake advanced study and will provide you with the opportunity to undertake independent research in an area of interest, and to further develop your research skills.

Depending on the subject major or specialisation being taken, an MSc degree may involve:

• A 120 point Research Thesis or Research Portfolio
• A 90 point Research Thesis and 30 points of coursework at 700 level
• A taught Masters comprising 120 points of course work at 700 level

A 240-point masters option may be available in exceptional circumstances.
 

Entry into the MSc requires completion of a Bachelor of Science (Honours) or Postgraduate Diploma in Science with a B- average in 90 points, at least 75 of which must be at 700 level. Direct entry from a Bachelor of Technology is also possible.
