Teaching case study: Global clothing industry

Are you wearing something made in China, or from synthetic materials like lycra or polyester? An interdisciplinary teaching study focused on the challenges of the global clothing industry is the brainchild of the Faculty of Science Sustainability Network. The School of Psychology, the School of Chemical Sciences and the Department of Sociology have joined forces to create this teaching case study that examines the environmental and societal impacts of mass-produced clothes, as well as how chemistry interacts with clothing and how the industry can be made greener and more sustainable.
