Find extra information about chemicals and chemical safety by searching the following databases.

GoldFFX

GoldFFX provides safety information for approximately 100,000 chemicals and hazardous substances. Each safety data sheet (SDS) provides safety advice, chemical and physical properties, risks, toxicities, emergency response, workplace exposure levels and disposal.

It is tailored to New Zealand requirements but also includes supplier-created safety data sheets for less common chemicals.

SciTrack

SciTrack is the University’s procurement and inventory management system for all chemicals.

Other databases

CCOHS

The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) provides access to a large database of supplier-created safety data sheets. In addition their CHEMINFO database has comprehensive health and safety information for many chemicals.

E-EROS

The Encyclopedia of Reagents for Organic Synthesis (e-EROS) contains a database of over 48,000 reactions and around 3,500 of the most frequently consulted reagents. This provides information about how a chemical might react, including health and hazard precautions.
